THE ACADEMY HOSTED A BOOK PRESENTATION EVENT

The presentation of the book “Shaykh-i-Akbar” by professor Mahmud Erol Kılıç, director of the IRCICA organization was held at the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan.

Advisor to the general director of the IRCICA, doctor of history, professor Ashirbek Mominov, Adviser to the rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan Otkir Hasanboyev, Vice-rector for scientific affairs and innovations Zahidjon Islamov, Director of the Imam Maturidi International Scientific Research Center Jamoliddin Karimov, Head of the International Cooperations Department Bahadir Khojayev, professors and teachers, researchers, and students participated at the event.

The event was opened by Zahidjon Islamov, Vice-rector for scientific affairs and innovations, who read out the greetings of the Rector of the Academy, Muzaffar Komilov.

During the presentation, Mahmud Erol Kılıç thanked the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan for organizing this meeting. He gave information about his books, in particular, the book “Shaykh-i-Akbar”.

Professor Mahmud Erol Kılıç was born in Istanbul in 1961. He defended his doctoral dissertation entitled “Being and its Stages in the Thought of Ibn Arabi” in 1995. In 1998, he received the title of associate professor, and in 2004, the title of professor. His work “Sufism and Poetry” won the Turkish Authors Association Research Award in 2004 and was translated into several languages. So far, 16 of his books have been published.

At the end of the meeting, the representatives of the IRCICA thanked the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan for cooperation. After that, representatives of both sides exchanged gifts.
