KARIMOV JAMOLITDIN ABDULXAMIDOVICH

Director of the Imam Maturidi International Scientific Research Center under the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan.

Doctor of Philosophy in Historical Sciences (PhD)

He was born in 1985 in Kattakurgan, Samarkand region. In 2007 he graduated from Tashkent Islamic University with a bachelor’s degree in “Religious studies” specialty. In 2010 he graduated from this university with a master’s degree in the 2008-2009 academic year, he studied at Cairo University in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

From 2009 to 2014 he worked as a researcher at the Center for Islamic Studies of Tashkent Islamic University. In 2015-2017, he was a senior researcher at the UNESCO Department for Comparative Study of World Religions. In 2018-2019, he was a senior lecturer at the Department of Islamic Sciences of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan. In 2019-2020, he was the director of the Center for Research and Innovation Projects of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan. From 2020 to the present, he has been working as the Head of the Publications Department of the Imam Maturidi International Scientific Research Center.

In 2020 he defended his dissertation on “The role of Jewish communities in the socio-cultural processes in Central Asia” for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in History under the guidance of Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor A. Hasanov at the Specialized Council of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan. His specialty: 07.00.04 - Religious studies.
