Department of Research on Maturidiyya Teachings

The Department of Research on Maturidiyya Teachings is the main department of the Imam Maturidi International Scientific Research Center. During its activity, the department performs the following tasks: studying the scientific heritage of Imam Maturidi and his followers, preparing scientific and explanatory translations and comparative texts of the works created by them; carrying out modern scientific research on the life and legacy of Imam Maturidi and the teachings of Maturidiyya; conducting systematic research on manuscripts and lithographic copies of the works of Eastern scholars, including their verification (tahqiq) and creating facsimile copies.

There are 7 researchers in the department. Currently, the department is working on the scientific and explanatory translation of the works of Imam Maturidi "Taw'ilat al-Qur'an" and "Kitab at-Tawhid" into Uzbek language. "Al-Hidaya" by Burhanuddin Marghinani, "Sharh al-Fihq al-Akbar" by Mulla Ali Qari, creedal texts related to the teachings of Maturidiyya were translated into Uzbek and published by the department.

Department of Contemporary Islamic Studies

The Department of Contemporary Islamic Studies performs the following tasks: conveying to the general public the humanitarian and peace-loving nature of Islam and its educational and cultural importance in the life of society; conducting systematic research on manuscripts and lithographic copies of the written scientific heritage of Eastern scholars stored in world libraries; conveying the results of research on modern Islamic studies to the scientific community by publishing them in scientific publications, mass media and the Internet; printing dictionaries, catalogs, and albums; studying the goals, ideological foundations, modern manifestations and methods of activity of bigotry and extremism, and developing scientific bases for combating them; developing practical proposals and recommendations on further strengthening religious tolerance and inter-ethnic harmony in the society.

There are 6 researchers in the department. Until now, the department has prepared a number of scientific research results, including publications such as "Moderation against Bigotry: Method and Analysis", "Actual Refutations", and "Important Questions and Answers".

Department of Translations

The Department of Translations is one of the main departments of the Imam Maturidi International Scientific Research Center. The department performs the following tasks within its activities: selecting contemporary research works written on Imam Maturidi and the doctrine of Maturidiyya and translating them into Uzbek and other languages; translating books on contemporary Islamic studies into Uzbek and other languages; organizing the publication of the results of the Center's research in scientific publications and mass media, Internet networks; editing information prepared in foreign languages; interpreting on behalf of the Center at international conferences, symposiums, panels and roundtables; studying and editing articles of foreign scientists submitted to "The Maturidiyya" journal.

Department of Publications

The Department of Publications edits and publishes books, pamphlets, monographs, textbooks, training manuals, booklets, albums, infographics and other materials prepared by the Center's scientific staff and researchers. The department also performs the following tasks: assisting and organizing the publication of articles of the Center's scientific staff in local and foreign journals, registered in Scopus, Web of Science and other systems; collecting and editing articles for "The Maturidiyya" journal; publishing collections of materials of local and international conferences and symposia organized by the Center; establishing cooperative relations with advanced publishing houses and mastering their experiences.

Department of International Relations

The Department of International Relations is the coordinating structure of the international relations of the Center. The department performs the following tasks: establishing close cooperation relations with universities and research centers of foreign countries, organizing symposiums, conferences and scientific seminars in cooperation; taking measures to attract foreign specialists to the activity of the Center; organizing foreign trips of the Center's scientific staff, including internships abroad and professional development; attracting international grant projects to the Center.

Until now, the department has signed more than 10 Memorandums of Understanding and other agreements with prestigious research centers and international organizations of European, African and Asian countries.

Information Resource Center

The Information Resource Center is the library of the Imam Maturidi International Scientific Research Center. In the library of the center, work is carried out on the preservation, digitization and creation of a catalog of manuscript and lithographic sources and modern publications related to Islamic studies, in particular, Maturidiyya studies.
