International Scientific Board of the Imam Maturidi International Scientific Research Center

The International Scientific Board of the Imam Maturidi International Scientific Research Center includes world-renowned scientists and experts who deeply studied the teachings of Maturidiyya. The Board's decisions have a recommendatory character.

The main goal of the Board is to widely promote moderate teachings, support the activities of the Center from all sides, help to apply the most advanced experiences of the world to the activities of the Center, and develop a scientific solution, practical proposal, and recommendations for issues of Islamic studies, especially Maturidiyya studies.

The composition of the International Scientific Board is 22 people, including scientists and specialists from Egypt, Turkey, Jordan, Albania, Germany, Russia, Malaysia, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. The Chairman of the Board is Mufti Nuriddin Kholiknazarov, Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan.

Uzbek, Arabic, and English are defined as the working languages in the Charter of the International Scientific Board.

The first meeting of the International Scientific Board was held on March 17, 2021. The following issues were discussed in this meeting: approval of the Board's Charter and composition, widely promoting moderate teachings in the Islamic world, establishing the teaching of Maturidiyya doctrine in religious educational institutions, cooperation with the world's leading research institutions and experts, compilation of manuscripts related to the Maturidiyya doctrine, creation of their electronic platform, and approval of the charter of the international scholarship named after Imam Maturidi.
