THE DIRECTOR OF THE CENTER IS PARTICIPATING IN THE ABU DHABI FORUM FOR PEACE

At the moment, the director of Imam Maturidi International Scientific Research Center, Jamoliddin Karimov, is participating in the ninth assembly of the Abu Dhabi Forum for Peace, which is being held in the capital of the United Arab Emirates. This year’s forum is scheduled for November 8-10 and is being held under the title "Global Conflict and Universal Peace: Urgent Needs and Opportunities for Partnership". More than 30 international organizations promoting peace, as well as about 500 religious leaders, intellectuals and experts from more than 60 countries are participating in the forum. In particular, representatives of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), the Muslim World League, the Academy of Islamic Fiqh, the United Arab Emirates Sharia Fatwa Council, the Center for Strategic Studies of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Faraday Institute in Great Britain, United States Center for Religious and Traditional Peacekeepers Network, Mohammed bin Zayed University in the United Arab Emirates, Nigerian Da’wah Institute, etc. are among the participants.

The annual Abu Dhabi Forum for Peace is a part of the United Arab Emirates’ policy to strengthen dialogue and cooperation to ensure global peace, stability and prosperity. The following four issues will be discussed at this year’s forum assembly: the challenges of global peace in the face of an international order in crisis, the role of youth and women in the promotion of peace, the universality of peace in the face of the globalisation of war, and the role of religious leaders in the peace process.
